Hi, my name is Daisy, and I am the Festival Queen for 2006-2007.
Festival Day was brilliant so I'd like to say thank you to everyone who came along and everyone who made it possible. Thank you to Kirsty who crowned me, she was a great Queen and I hope I can follow in her footsteps.
I am 16 years old and I was born on the 24th November 1990. My favourite colour is pink. I have three pets - a fish called Bubblegum, a hamster called Herbie and a rabbit called Indigo. My hobbies are ballet, singing, dancing and drama. Ambition - to be a teacher.
I would like to say thank you to all of my wonderful attendants, canopy bearers and my page boy and page girl, Poppy Haresnape, Georgina Coles, Jessica Shepherd, Laura Williams, Sophie Laurance, Rosie Seed, Eleanor Laurance, Elysia Haresnape, Sally Seed, Melody Golder, Tara Tuer, Liarna Price, Crystal Golder, Alexander Grindrod, Simon Williams, Dominic Grindrod, Holly Leach, Chloe Leach and Connor Redfern.
In the weeks after the Festival Day we went to lots of different places. Firstly we went to Longridge Festival, the weather was hot and we all had a great time, then two weeks later we went to Grimsargh Festival. Once again the weather was very nice and we all had a wonderful time watching the fancy dress competition and many other events that took place throughout the day. We went to see the residents of Crystal House to say thank you for the ice cream they donated to the festival.
On the 31st August we went to see Maisie to wish her a happy birthday and we all had a fabulous morning. I am really looking forward to the rest of the events I will attend, including visiting the Mayor, the Halloween Disco and the Christmas events. I hope you will all come along to these events and hope to see you there.
