Have you ever wondered how the Festival happens? How all the floats come
together, where the bands come from, who organises it all?
It doesn't just happen. It isn't something laid on by the Parish Council,
Lancashire County Council (although we couldn't do it without their help).
The Festival and all the other activities throughout the year happen because
the Festival Committee and their friends make them happen. It's a tradition over
a century old which we're not about to drop now, but we need your help...
If you enjoy the Festival and want to see it continue, why not get
involved. It's far more rewarding than just watching it. If you're
interested, we'd love your help. There's always room for an extra pair of hands,
and it doesn't involve a massive amount of your time (see the
Diary Page for
the few meetings through the year).
Please give it some serious thought - If you've enjoyed it, why not invest
just a little time to let others do the same well into the future.

Festival Patrons
Almost all of the Festival's running costs come from fund raising and from
very much appreciated donations. Last year, over £4000 was raised to help meet
costs.

from as little as £20 each year.
